Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the GMMH senior management team as the Deputy Head of Estates within the Capital, Estates & Facilities Directorate.You will join a forward-thinkinggroup,with a proved record of delivery and a mentality that continually strives to evolve and improve.

As the Deputy Head of Estates, you will have responsibility for managing the Trusts extensive estate and healthcare engineering infrastructure, in a sustainable and efficient way. As key technical individual within the Estates team, you will actively contribute and influence the day-to-day operating of the Trust, providing well considered solutions which support the cost-effective delivery of services.

As an experienced estates professional, you will work with and manage multi-disciplinary teams to ensure service users and visitors are treated in safe and therapeutic environments that support recovery, and that staff have the optimal conditions to effectively support and deliver care.

You will be a vision-led individual with ambition and a strong desire to make a difference and help steer the Trust forwards to support the growth of the organisation as a leading provider of mental health and addictions services in Greater Manchester.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for coordinating and managing a client focused maintenance service across Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust with emphasis on developing local estates management to provide a dynamic estates planned preventative maintenance and reactive responseservice, which is customer focused, technically strong, ensuring optimum planning, control and operation of the physical facilities, and complying with all relevant statutory directives and UK legislation.
