Job summary
To provide an efficient and effective administrative support Service within the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. To assist the Team administrator with administrative and secretarial duties. To provide administrative support to the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the provision of a newly set up administrative and secretarial service within the Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams. The postholder will also be responsible for supporting the team of professionals engaged in providing treatment to Neighbourhood Mental Health Team service users with Mental Health related problems.
Reliable data entry into the GP systems such as Emis/System One and Rio computer system will be required ensuring a full & effective clinic system is in operation, receiving all visitors, staff, service users & GP telephone calls in a polite, friendly and courteous manner.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the maintenance & compilation of Clinical Records used within the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team ensuring agreed procedures are adhered to.
To attend mandatory training days and away days and to actively participate in new development within the primary care service.
To receive & respond to telephone enquiries exercising initiative in deciding whom the caller should be referred onto. Taking messages and recording both clerically and electronically.
To be responsible for the receipt of internal/external post and emails ensuring correct distribution.
To be support the Team admin/secretary in completing the service user appointments using either the Emis/System One and Rio system and updating clinic status within the agreed timeframe.
To be support the Team admin/secretary in the receipt and registration of all referrals, ensuring that registration is carried out immediately using the appropriate Emis/System One and Rio system.
To support the Team admin/secretary for data entry onto Emis/System One and Rio as directed.
