Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician (Nurse/AHP) to join Dan Mooney House Inpatient Rehabilitation Service in the role of Manager.
Dan Mooney is a Complex Care Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit based in Knowle, comprising 15 beds that support varying degrees of independent living. The unit caters for both males with a primary diagnosis of Psychosis for a typical 3 year admission. Rookery Gardens has a strong ethos of recovery, working with service users to increase strengths and coping strategies with the aim to live as independently as possible post discharge.
Dan Mooney works in close partnership with it's sibling unit David Bromley, who provide support and interventions with female service users into the community, with all aspects of independent living and social inclusion.
The successful candidate will be managing a comprehensive staff team including RMN's, OT's, psychiatrists, psychologists, HCA's and recovery navigators to support active rehabilitation.
The role of the manager is to maintain operational oversight of the unit, its staff and to ensure safety. The post holder will maintain quality standards, delivery of evidence-based care in line with clinical policy. They will be responsible for the implementation of national guidance, best practice and national policy.

Main duties of the job
With the support of the Clinical Nurse Manager and Matron the post holder will hold responsibility for the staff team, and the management and provision of quality evidence based nursing advice support and care for service users with health and social care needs, and their carers within the unit.
The post holder will provide effective and efficient management of delegated resources within the unit while ensuring care delivery meets and addresses the issues of spirituality, equality diversity and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation.
They will act as a role model for junior staff, and in a manner, which positively reflects the values of the organisation and in a way, which will ensure that effective communication pathways exist with internal and external stakeholders aimed at supporting and developing current models of care.
