Occupational Therapy Assistant Dawn House and Ardenleigh Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to work part of the delivery of a new discharge pathway pilot. You will work with a teamofprofessionals to develop a community forensic step-down accommodation for women being discharged from secure care.
The Pilot aims to extend the inpatient treatment model (the SCALE model within the Women's Secure Blended Service (WSBS)) into a community residential setting, to promote recovery beyond discharge and reduce the need for future admission. The project has funding for a 2-year period. In summary.

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the post holder will be expected to:
To co-facilitate planned therapy programmes that aim to focus on developing independent living skills, supporting with integration into the community, forming relationships, and having purposeful occupation within the SCALE model. To focus on intensive rehabilitation to develop life skills further in the community.
The post holder will ensure effective communication pathways exist, acting as a role model for other to positively reflect the values of the organisation.
To work across Ardenleigh and Dawn House to strengthen relationships ensuring effective discharge pathways.
To collaboratively collaborate with external partners in planning interventions, assessments, and joint working with ANAWIM staff and the FIRST and inpatient OT team.
To maintain accurate clinical records and appropriate data.
To promote OT services and support visitors and service users to understand their treatment.
To contribute to assessments through observation, communication and accurate record keeping.
