Job summary
We have a rare opportunity for a motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to manage the Adult ADHD Services within Birmingham and Solihull.
The Adult ADHD Service provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults (18+ in Solihull and 25+ in Birmingham) with ADHD. We are currently going through an exciting period of development, including evaluation of our clinical pathways, introduction of reasonable adjustment clinics and a time-limited project offering assessments for ASD to individuals already under our service and where clinically appropriate. In addition, we are a pilot site for BSMHFT's AI project and Accurx Project.
We are a multi-disciplinary team with a strong ethos of working together for the improvement of the service and the service user experience.
The role of the ADHD Hub Manager would be to oversee the service and lead on developments, both new and existing, whilst maintaining the positive morale that already exists within the service. The Hub Manager will work closely with the Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead to ensure that the standards of the service are maintained, and new developments are integrated into the service.
Main duties of the job
Co-ordinate, manage and supervise the activities of all staff working within these teams, to provide a highly visible presence in all clinical areas, leading and supervising practice and acting as a role model for professional issues.
Ensures that the day-to-day care provided within your teams meets the needs of the individual service users.
Provide regular management and clinical supervision to all staff under sphere of responsibility
Lead on service development as agreed with Clinical Services Manager
Meet with Clinical Services Manager regularly to update and review services
To advise the Clinical Services Manager regarding changes required to workforce provisions in relation to establishment and skill mix.
Work effectively with ICB/ICS to help secure funding for services, demonstrate benefits to patients and the NHS, monitor services and maintain productive relationships
Be available to deal promptly with issues and concerns of the patients and their carers at source.
Undertake the investigation and resolution of complaints about the services as required.
Conduct and oversee an ongoing audit programme of service as agreed with the head of service/CSM.
