Job summary

We have a large family of Psychological Professionals in the Trust who work across our diverse clinical services, and we host a number of training programmes including Low Intensity Psychological Interventions.

We are keen to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Psychologist to support our Psychological Professions Network Midlands and Trust Post-Incident Support for a fixed-term period (18 months).

Knowledge and understanding of both of these areas is required and the successful individual will be part of a well-established team.This is not a client facing role and the post holder would be based in a corporate team working alongside other psychological practitioners.

Main duties of the job

  • To work closely with the PPN Midlands Chair, the PPN Midlands Programme Manager and other stakeholders across the region and in coordination with PPN England and all other PPN regional networks to develop and support a unified regional voice and offer support structures and communities of practice etc at the Midlands level.
  • This role will support the delivery of the central mission of the PPN to inform, enable and influence NHS commissioned healthcare to maximise the benefits of the Psychological Professions for the public.
  • The post holder will also work as an integrated member of the Post-incident support provision within Trust Corporate Psychology services, supporting and enhancing the professional psychological practice, under the leadership of the Chief Psychologist.
  • The post holder will work independently according to a plan agreed with their supervisor within the overall framework of the Corporate Psychology services' policies and procedures, and assist in project related administration, service evaluation, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, teaching and project work
