Job summary

An exciting Opportunity has arisen to train as a High Intensity CBT Therapist and work within Birmingham Healthy Minds as part of the NHS Talking Therapies

Birmingham University will be conducting this Post Graduate Diploma High Intensity CBT therapist course with face to face and remote study. The clinical placement with Birmingham Healthy Minds will be at one of our team bases in Birmingham. The cost of the course and salary funding is provided.

Academic screening will take place at Birmingham University on 04/06/2024.

For those successful candidates there will be a remote interview with Birmingham Healthy Minds and Birmingham University via MS Teams between 11 & 20 June 2024

The course will commence 30 September 2024.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for motivated and committed applicants who have an existing core profession or applying via completion of knowledge, skills attitude portfolio and wish to pursue a career as a High Intensity CBT Therapist with Birmingham Healthy Minds NHS Talking Therapies service upon completion of their training.

The duration of the course is 12 months. The number of days required to meet the educational objectives and skills-based competences covered during the respective course will be confirmed at a later date to the applicants. The trainee will carry a small caseload as part of their clinical practice and due to the intensity of the course should not be undertaking any other role or training whilst undertaking this post graduate diploma. Please consult national guidance for information concerning the contracts required for this workforce.

NB* The University is unable to accept anyone on the course who does not meet the essential criteria or have previously failed or not completed this course at any other university. This is a partnership arrangement with BHM NHS Talking Therapies service and Birmingham University.
