Job summary
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people who are in care? We have a great opportunity for a Band 7 Team Manager position in our Looked After Children Team (LATCH) in Solar. The team composition varies and has consisted of a Senior Psychotherapist, Psychologist, Clinical Nurse Specialists /Social Workers/ Counsellors etc. with a wealth of expertise and support as part of a Multi Disciplinary Team.
The LATCH team is also an integral part of our wider Solar service.
Solar, rated 'Good' by the CQC and published in the Journal of Early Intervention in Psychiatry, is a partnership between Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Barnardo's and Autism West Midlands and provides Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Services to Children, Young People and Families in Solihull (0-19).
Solar was set up as a service not about thresholds or tiers but about timely access to appropriate support in line with children and young people's needs. Solar aims to create a comprehensive system, designed around the needs of children and young people, which keeps children and young people healthy as well as treating those that are ill and prioritises resilience, partnership and co-production.

Main duties of the job
As a LATCH Team Manager the role will be an important aspect in the team supporting children, young people in care and the network supporting them.
In addition the role will include the supervision of LATCH practitioners s as well as providing consultation, service development, research and teaching/training as required.
There are also opportunities for ongoing CPD and training.
