Come and join us in the Enhanced Team for Personality Disorders - a service commissioned to enhance standard care through the provision of bespoke, flexible, individualised psychological support for individuals and teams. You will be encouraged to utilise the full breadth of your skills as a clinical psychologist, both supporting clients and teams. There is opportunity for longer term therapeutic work and support to develop your own therapy interests.

Essential criteria include an interest and clinical experience of working with individuals with complex trauma and/or a diagnosis of personality disorder, advanced communications skills, a flexible approach and a desire to work as part of a trauma informed team. You will possess the ability to work autonomously, multitask and be self-organised, whilst also being able to work as part of a supportive team.

Main duties of the job

The Enhanced Team for Personality Disorders offers complex case reviews and formulations which inform a range of specialist, often longer-term, bespoke and needs-led psychological interventions. A significant part of the role is supporting others in their work, including offering specialist consultation, supervision to teams and training.

You will work with the team leads and consultant clinical psychologist, and alongside the Enhanced Team for Personality Disorders to monitor and implement the work across BSMHFT. In return we will be committed to supporting your professional training needs and personal development plan, with regular individual and team supervision, clinical management and opportunities for further training development (e.g., CBT-PD, MBT, EMDR).

The successful candidate is required to work full time-37.5hrs Monday to Friday. The post will be based in Solihull however the services covered are spread across the city, so flexibility and travel are required. The post is a mixed model, with opportunities to work from home.
