Job summary

This is an exciting new post working in collaboration with the Facilities and Dietetic Teams within the Trust in role as Food Services Dietitian. The role will help to ensure that food provided to patients, staff and visitors meets their nutritional needs. This will involve developing collaborative menus for each Trust site and providing complete nutritional analysis, adherence to national legislation and standards relating to hospital food provision, and championing the important of nutrition and hydration across the trust.

Main duties of the job

To liaise with external providers and suppliers to ensure nutritional quality is prioritised at all times.

To improve the service user experience of food provision in relation to supporting good health.

To act as conduit between clinical and facilities staff to ensure the needs of Service Users are met, this includes attending Service user forums, business meetings and any other appropriate forums where food is discussed.

To provide quality and safety assurances and report back to Food safety Groups and Physical Health Committee
