Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist. We are looking to recruit a dedicated andhighly motivated individual who is passionate about providing high quality and compassionate care to adolescents. We are particularly interestedin applicants with experience working with Neurodevelopmental and Learning Disability and who have an interest in complex safeguarding.Youth First is the community forensic CAMH service for the West Midlands, and was launched in April 2018. The team works across the WestMidlands providing a tiered intervention approach, including; advice, consultation, assessment and intervention for young people with highlycomplex risk alongside mental health or neurodevelopmental diagnoses.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the jobo To provide an Occupational Therapy pathway within the Youth First team.o To hold a generic clinical caseload and use evidence based/client centred principles to provide consultation and advice to the teamsworking alongside them; with support from the wider MDT.o To provide training packages to stakeholders.o To maintain clinical records and ensure clear recorded evidence of multiagency discussions and planning.o You would also be expected to manage incoming enquiries and provide initial risk management advice in respect of these as part of theDuty Clinician rota.You will be required to travel across the West Midlands to provide face to face consultations with the wider professional group for young people onyour assigned caseload.
