Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Specialist Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join OpCourage West Midlands Treatment Team for Military Veterans. We are a very friendly multi-disciplinary team who are committed to support the needs of veterans and their families. The service offers assessment and treatment to veterans presenting with military attributable complex mental health issues, including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety disorders, substance misuse and/or anger issues. We adopt a trauma-informed care model to support veterans and their families and draw on a range of models to support this work, including CFT, EMDR, CAT and ACT.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support OpCourage in the development, management and delivery of the service across the West Midlands region. This role provides a rare and exciting opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the development of a service both at a clinical and operational level. Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to continue to develop their clinical skills, providing specialist and expert assessments, formulations and evidence-based treatment. They will supervise and line-manage B7 Psychological therapists and qualified HCPs as appropriate.
