Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and motivated individual to join the Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions (PGCertLIPI) programme team. This training programme is run as a collaborative arrangement between Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Birmingham.

The post-holder will support the delivery of the PGCertLIPI and teach topics and clinical skills to support students. A key part of this role will be to plan, develop and structure systems that will support the learning needs of trainees working in isolation. To accomplish this, the post-holder will need to keep abreast of national policy and developments in the area of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) training and clinical practice. Due to the nature of the post there will be occasions when you will be expected to travel to deliver the programme or attend meetings.

The main duties of this post will be to deliver didactic teaching and support skills development in relation to taught topics. The post holder will act as 'personal tutor' to designated trainees. The post-holder will be keen to develop their own practice, enjoy the challenge of helping students to learn, wish to gain experience of working in higher education training and be responsible for the management and co-ordination of their own work.
