The role: fixed term, full time (1.0 WTE) Dramatherapist or Music Therapist, with 3 days located within the Women's service and 2 day per week working within our young peoples service, FCAMHS, both services are located within Ardenleigh Hospital.
You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of clinical staff, that includes nursing teams, peer support workers, art psychotherapy, music therapy, psychologists, psychiatrists, and occupational therapists. You will be part of the Secure Care and Offender Health Team and trust wide Arts Psychotherapies Service. Across the trust in recent years, the provision of art, music and drama therapies has grown significantly, and we are proud to offer a career structure from entry-level to Consultant Art Psychotherapist. We have a network of arts psychotherapists located in community hubs, Secure Care and Offender Health, and specialist services.
Main duties of the job
Working within the psychological therapies team, you will be facilitating a range of psychological interventions in both individual and group settings. Clinical supervision and line management is facilitated by experienced art psychotherapists. A successful applicant will have access to training and development opportunities and have the chance to develop your clinical skill set within a dynamic team in a busy NHS setting. As part of your role, we regularly audit and evaluate the work undertaken, evidencing the effectiveness of interventions for people who struggle to engage with more verbal focused interventions.
