Job summary

Mixed gender Older adult inpatient ward for Functional patients

We are seeking a highly committed and experienced deputy ward manager.

Service user focussed and willing to work as part of the ward team, involved and supporting team decision making and providing exemplary care to those we work with to support recovery.

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse, with experience in leading and managing teams and looking for a supportive and dynamic place to work at?

Reservoir court is an 18 bedded unit for those who have severe and enduring mental illnesses, often with co-morbidities, which require them to have a further period of stabilisation within an inpatient setting, to help them achieve their personal recovery goals, and re-integrate into the community.

Main duties of the job

Applicants must be Registered Mental Health Nurses able to work in a challenging, dynamic and recovery focused environment.

You will need to demonstrate a range of skills including the following

Effective leadership

Crisis management

Discharge planning and coordination

Staff supervision and appraisals,

Rota management ,

Effective communication, integrity, empathy, self-awareness, compassion and critical self-reflection

Clinical skills which reflect your understanding of the Mental Health Act and the frameworks, policies and procedures governing our service.
