An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional who is looking for their next step in their career. We are able to offer an exciting opportunity within our People Team for the role of People Officer.
In this interesting and varied role, you will have the opportunity to get involved in creating and delivering HR solutions according to business need as well as supporting projects, implementing change, employee relations, coaching and advising senior managers.

Main duties of the job
You will provide expert advice for staff and leaders in regard to employee related policies and practice, sickness absence support, support with organisation change programmes and support investigations into employment matters encompassing all aspects of employee relations. Seeking guidance and support where appropriate from People Consultants, People Managers and People Partners.
We are looking for a CIPD qualified candidate who:
- Has some exposure to providing advice and support to leaders and staff on a wide range of HR operational issues, with sound up-to-date employment law knowledge.
- Is comfortable interpreting and working with data, to develop understanding and insight, and to inform solutions.
- Support the Job Evaluation and Performance Review processes.
- Is a creative team player within our People Team, demonstrating our Trust values and behaviours.
- A calm and confident communicator who will work proactively with our leaders to bring about change.

Essential
- CIPD qualified to CIPD Level 5 or part qualified and actively working towards
- Recent experience in generalist HR issues, advising on terms and conditions of service and application of policies and procedures
- Knowledge of a range of administrative and HR procedures, acquired through relevant training and experience to diploma, CPP equivalent level
- Knowledge of employee relations, and the activities undertaken
- Support managers in the preparation of casework
- Experience of delivering in-house training/ briefing sessions
- Experience of assisting with policy development
