Job summary

CAMHS practitioner is often an umbrella term used to describe a registered professional working in CAMHS. This might include a social worker, registered therapist, Nurse, Occupational Therapist or another allied health professional.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an CAMHS Practitioner within a team that specialises in improving outcomes for Looked After Children within Solar. Solar provides specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for young people 0-19 year olds.

Main duties of the job

We are a service that has embraced the transformational change as part of the CYP IAPT programme and have worked collaboratively with our local training providers to embed the model across the service. Solar offers a stepped approach to care and our team consists of a wide range of professional groupings. The team usually works between Monday and Friday and is based across two clinics within the Solihull borough, with an emphasis on community working to help promote positive engagement with our young people and families.

We offer generous supervision arrangements including both peer/individual and support from a vast and varied multi-disciplinary team, we work closely together offering high levels of experience and expertise, within a friendly and professional atmosphere. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated addition to the team who can help us on our journey to offering outstanding care for young people and families within the Solihull Borough.
