An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Ardenleigh women's blended service team. This is an exciting opportunity as there are only 3 other blended services within the UK. The successful applicant will join an already established Occupational Therapy Service, which aims to provide assessment, treatment, rehabilitation to our service users with complex needs.

This job offers the opportunity to:

- Enhance skills in various specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions. This will be goal orientated, focussed on developing positive routines, addressing difficulties with motivation, and looking to support individuals in developing self-management skills and strategies to maximise independence.

- Opportunity to work flexibly.

- Have support for staff wellbeing and to encourage home/work life balance.

- Meet specialist training needs such as becoming a Sensory Integration Practitioner, DBT Specialist, Psychological First Aider and more.

- Develop an ever-evolving service and take part in service development, research and QI projects.

Main duties of the job

- Working alongside a specialist MDT with unique roles such as Drama therapy, Art therapy, Music Therapy and ANP roles which focus on staff wellbeing.

- Completing specialist assessments in MOHO, MOCA, Sensory.

- Attending weekly reviews - MDT.

- Running groups and planned interventions.

- Writing reports and assessments.

- Support in operational management of the delivery of an evidenced based Occupational Therapy treatment service.

- Provide leadership within a recovery focused model of care and trauma informed care model.

- Provide support/coaching to the junior members of the OT team and wider MDT.

- Demonstrating values of compassion, commitment, and inclusivity.

- To empower and enable individuals to access community resources which support their social, employment, educational and recreational needs and goals.
