To patrol and ensure the appropriate use of the hospital car parks, act as a deterrent to theft and vandalism and, provide support to General Office.

Patrol the hospital site
Ensure the Trust Car Park Policy is applied
Provide assistance to drivers
Ensure car park equipment remains operational
Ensure external traffic routes and car parks are clean and tidy
Assist in dealing with security incidents
Provide ad hoc support to General Office

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

To monitor the car parks and traffic on site
When appropriate issue Parking Charge or Warning Notices
Maintain a courteous and diplomatic manner
To assist in the maintenance of roads and car parks (tidy bins, tidy leaves, clean signage, reporting faults as appropriate)
Transport traffic barriers or traffic cones when required
Provide support in emergency situations (Fire, Major Incident, Lockdown)
Assist in dealing with security incidents
Provide an escort service if required for the transfer of monies from wards or departments
Check doors and windows are locked
Provide ad hoc support to General Office
Assist in the movement of accommodation equipment
Other ad hoc duties which may be appropriate to the Facilities Team
