HEALTH NURSERY NURSEAn opportunity has arisen to appoint an enthusiastic Health Nursery Nurse to work as part of the integrated 0-19 Universal Service within the Blackburn & Darwen area to deliver the Healthy Child Programme, universal and targeted provision to:

Pre-school and primary school aged children and their families. You will utilise your knowledge of child developmental milestones to provide key elements of the Healthy Child Programme and targeted provision based on need as delegated by a SCPHN/ Team Leader. You will be required to safeguard children in line with safeguarding policy and work in a variety of community settings including lone working in clients' homes. You will require excellent communication skills, the ability to work in partnership with partner agencies and have a strong commitment towards delivering children public health services.

Main duties of the job

The post holder as part of the 0-19 Service will work under the direction of the Health Visitor (SCPHN-HV) and Specialist Public Health Nurse (SCPHN-SN).

The post holder will work across the 0-19 team with pre-school and primary school aged children and their families. They will utilise their knowledge of child developmental milestones to provide key elements of the Healthy Child Programme and targeted provision based on need as delegated by a SCPHN/ Team Leader. They will be required to safeguard children in line with safeguarding policy. They will work in a variety of community settings including lone working in clients' homes.

The post holder will work in line with the Trust's corporate objectives and will be expected to make a positive contribution to the provision of health services. The post holder will be expected to work in line with the Trust values delivering excellent care with compassion.
