Job summary
East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is looking to recruit a Consultant Histopathologist on a full time (10 PA) basis, although applications from part-time applicants would be considered. The successful candidate will join a team of 12 Consultant Pathologists in a modern Cellular Pathology Department at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital.
Main duties of the job
Applicants are expected to be experienced in all aspects of histopathology and non-gynae cytology and there are opportunities to develop special interests
Applicants are required to posses the FRCPath (or equivalent qualification) and have CCT or be within 6 months of obtaining this.

We are a national screening unit for Bowel cancer screening patients. The Department is recognised for 4 Cellular pathology STs and in addition supported by 2 Senior Clinical Fellows.
Applicants are expected to be experienced in all aspects of histopathology and non-gynae cytology and there are opportunities to develop special interests although experience in breast, urology, colorectal and skin pathology would be more beneficial to the post.
Our Hospital is situated close to the motorway networks and at close proximity to beautiful countryside of Ribble Valley and the Lake District and is 40 minutes away from Manchester.
