Job summary
As a Senior IT Engineer you will provide IT support to Trust staff and staff from external organisations such as the North Lancashire and South CumbriaGP population.
The work will be challenging but it is an opportunity to put your knowledge and skills to work in a rewarding public service. You will gain valuable experience working in an environment where IT is considered central to the delivery of good patient care. This belief is clearly evident in thesignificant investment made in the I3 service to support the Trust-wide implementation of our ePR and associated technologies. You will work as amember of a technical team to provide critical support to staff across departments on issues relating to software, hardware and networking andsupport key implementation projects. You will be a self-starter and be able to manage your own workload but also work as a team member tomeet SLA targets.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide general IT support to the Morecambe Bay Health Community; Acute Trust and Primary Care, as directed by theIT Operations Manager.
Main duties include;
The implementation and support of computing devices, associated software and peripheral devices
Managing the effective and efficient response to, and resolution of, IT incidents and requests
Provision of technical and operational support to projects
The post holder will be required to participate in the IT On-call rota providing out of hours IT support.
It is essential that the post holder has experience of providing IT support to a large organisation, combining a high level of technical knowledgewith a strong customer focus.
The post holder must be prepared to travel at short notice to other supported sites - so a full driving licence is required
