Main duties of the job

Your Role

As an IT Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for NHS staff, providing essential first-line IT support both remotely and face-to-face. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues related to desktops, networks, servers, and mobile devices while ensuring excellent customer service via the IT Service Desk. You will work across multiple sites, including Preston and Chorley, and be part of an out-of-hours on-call rota, helping to maintain seamless IT operations within the Trust.

Detailed knowledge of: MS Office, PC and server hardware & troubleshooting, MS Windows 11, Active Directory
InTune experience

Working with Cisco network products. Experience of VMware incl Airwatch MDM

Qualifications and Education

Essential

Degree or similar computing qualification or equivalent proven knowledge in IT & technology fields
Microsoft Certified Professional certifications or other recognised IT vendor certification

Desirable

Microsoft Associate qualification (MCA, MCSA, MCSD etc.)
