The Procurement & Supplies Team is embarking on an exciting period of change as we start our journey to become a single procurement department across the Lancashire and South Cumbria Region. The five Trusts are currently served by three Procurement teams who are coming together and forming One LSC Procurement. The team will provide services to:
- Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust,
- Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust,
- East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust plus Atlas BFW Management Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals).

- North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The Integrated Procurement Manager role within the Procurement & Supplies Department is seen as a key role and an opportunity for candidates to join a vibrant, highly driven Procurement Team, based across numerous sites within the region.
The role is required within each of the Care Group facing Procurement Teams (Non-Clinical, Surgery and Medicine).
The role briefly consists of leading on self-identified and allocated projects, delivering against agreed timescales and outcomes for the specified areas across all or some of the Trust's within the scope of the Procurement Team.
Manage and developing a team of geographically spread Lead/Divisional Buyers and Contract Managers, being responsible for their performance, training and well-being.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be responsible for the leadership of a Buying Team within non clinical, comprising Estates and Facilities, IT, and Corporate Departments.
The postholder will identify and lead key strategic/complex projects and allocate projects to Lead/Divisional Buyers, being responsible for delivering against agreed timescales and outcomes for a specified Division across all or some of the Trust's within the scope of the Integrated Procurement Team. This will include sourcing and procuring goods, equipment, materials and services which meet customer requirements by demonstrating value for money and promoting an integrated approach to procurement.
Develop and implement an Integrated Procurement Strategy, in line with the various Trust's SO's and SFI's, English Law, Public Procurement legislation, Departmental Policies and Procedures and NHS procurement guidance.
The post-holder will participate, and represent the team and work with Care Group teams, in delivering the Trust's objectives.
The role will also have an external focus buildingstrong external and managerial relationships and developingpartnerships with the relevant agencies.
