Main duties of the job
Support our patient's surgical journey on day case with preparation for surgery and discharges from the department with a holistic approach to care; ensuring patients receive safe, personal and effective care throughout their stay and act as the patients' advocate.
Support to specialist services within dermatology outpatient's clinics and chaperone duties to support our patients and clinicians, conducting various dermatology assessments, diagnostic tests and assisting to manage our nurse led clinics.
You need to be able to demonstrate good, effective communication skills, be a caring and hardworking professional individual and be committed to working in a busy and often challenging environment and assist the team in delivering excellent patient care.
About us
Our Dermatology services are spread across two main sites, the Royal Blackburn and Burnley general hospital. Our treatment room service is situated on the dermatology department at the Burnley general hospital site
Treatment room operates Monday to Friday, 0730am - 18:00hrs.
The team occasionally need to cover Saturday and Sunday mornings for waiting list initiation clinics with an 8:30am start and 13:00 finish.
There is opportunity to offer flexible working arrangements where services allow.
