Job summary
- Perform high levels of skilled nursing and patient care within the treatment room service.

Main duties of the job
MAIN DUTIES:
- Provide a high standard of patient care using an evidence based framework and work within East Lancashire Hospital Trust policies and standards
- To provide skilled nursing care of a set standard in the treatment room setting
- Ensure confidentiality at all times
- To perform a high level of clinical skills e.g. Wound care, Leg Ulcer Management.
- Liaise with nursing and non nursing colleagues to create good working relationships for the benefit of patients
- Be involved with health promotion and in the prevention of ill health of patients
- Liaise directly with specialist Lower Leg Nurse/Tissue Viability regarding problem cases
- Document and maintain records professionally and accurately
About us
The Treatment room service is operational in the five localities of the East Lancashire Hospitals footprint and has ten sites. We offer lower limb care and management, complex wound care management, routine catheterisation and in some localities, injectable medication administration and diagnostics. We offer an enhanced service at the Clitheroe treatment room site and an out of hours service is provided three days per week and saturday mornings at the St Peter's centre in Burnley.
