The Directorate of Intermediate Care is looking to recruit a permanent Ward Manager to lead and inspire our established team on Ward 22 at Burnley General Hospital caring for our complex and vulnerable patients who require rehabilitation. The Ward is committed to working collaboratively as a Multi- disciplinary team to ensure that we deliver the best rehabilitation opportunities for our patients
You will work with and be supported by a network of Community and Integrated Care Matrons and Ward Managers who work across a wide range of services.
As a Ward Manager working in Community and Integrated Care you will be valued as a member of the team and will be supported to deliver exceptional safe, personal and effective care. You will be responsible for delivering person centered care to an allocated group of patients and lead the team to support each other to meet the needs of the patients, their families and their corer's.
Working in Community and Integrated Care you will be expected to demonstrate flexibility to meet the needs of the service and you will receive your rota 6 weeks in advance to enable you to maintain a good work life balance.

Main duties of the job
As a Ward Manager working in Community and Integrated Care you will be valued as a member of the team and will be supported to deliver exceptional safe, personal and effective care. You will be responsible for the day to day management and leadership of a community intermediate care ward, ensuring that safe personal and effective care is consistently provided - this includes effective rota management, management of sickness and absence and annual leave. This also includes ensuring staff receive timely personal development reviews and staff education, training and coaching, recruitment and retention of staff.
You will be expected to deliver on key performance indicators one of which is the Nursing Assessment Performance Framework to provide assurance that your team are delivering safe, personal and effective care.
The Division is committed to Quality Improvement. The team, with support from the Quality Improvement Team are committed to improve standards and process which impact upon staff, patients experience and safety and resources.
