An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Team Leader to work with the East Lancashire District Nursing Team.
We are looking for a dynamic leader with substantial experience at Band 6 level or above and who has, or is working towards, a Community Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing.The successful candidate will have a passion for District Nursing and continuous service development.
Ability to work contracted hours rotationally across day and night shifts, as reasonably required by the needs of the service. This a 7-day service, including weekends and Bank Holidays

Main duties of the job
The post holder carries overall responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the district nursing service. They will ensure the daily organisation, operational management, and evaluation of the district nursing team ensuring systems are in place to secure comprehensive service delivery for the local population. They will ensure collaborative working across divisions, with General Practitioners, partner professionals and agencies to secure care closer to home and positive outcomes for patients and their families. They will be responsible for the budget for the designated team ensuring financial balance and any cost improvement programmes are realised. S/he will provide the leadership, direction, and line management necessary for effective and efficient service delivery and will support the Matron in the delivery of strategic and organisational initiatives and priorities, including infection prevention and control, the promotion of harm free care, and reducing avoidable bed days/admissions, whilst maintaining high standards of clinical practice and professional conduct.
