Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Dental Nurse, who is registered with the GDC to join our team in OMFS/Orthodontics and Restorative Dentistry at Buckinghamshire NHS Trust. You will be part of the dental nurse service, providing a high standard of care, demonstrating strong clinical dental nursing skills whilst being a part of a hardworking and motivated team. You will continue to develop your skills by providing close support to clinical staff.
You will assist our clinicians in a variety of settings including:
- Orthodontics
- OMFS (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) clinics
- MDT (Multidisciplinary) clinics
- Minor Oral Surgery Procedures
- Restorative Dentistry
- IV Sedation
- General Anaesthesia

Main duties of the job
We support our nursing staff to work in all the above aspects of dentistry.
This placement will be based in Stoke Mandeville Hospital with the expectation to travel between Amersham and Marlow when required. Our clinical sessions are Monday to Friday and usual working hours are between 8.30am - 5pm. Flexibility in your approach to work is therefore essential, and you must be able to travel easily around the county. Travelling outside of your base will be covered by travel expenses.
The successful candidate should have a positive attitude working in a team environment and provide our patients with the best possible care. The trust ensures regular supervision with line managers to ensure both staff and the service are supported.
Registration with the General Dental Council is a requirement of this post. Own car or access to alternative travel for business use is essential. We hope that the advert has given you a clear understanding of the skills we are seeking and the opportunity at hand.
