Job summary
We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator for Cancer care and Haematology to work alongside our Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) Practice Development Nurse, supporting Cancer care and Haematology across Cancer Services.

Main duties of the job
The Post holder will support the SACT Practice Development Nurse across Cancer care and Haematology.
The post holder will facilitate education, training, and professional development of all nursing staff on Ward 5, CCHU, and Sunrise. This includes experienced nurses, newly qualified, preceptees, associate practitioners, and health care assistants, supporting clinical competence to ensure safe, compassionate patient care.
They will assist all nurses, especially newly qualified, in becoming clinically competent in cancer patient care.
The post holder will support internal study days, develop agendas, and engage speakers.
They will work closely with the SACT Practice Development Nurse and Unit/Ward sisters to ensure staff develop and retain knowledge and skills.

Welcome learners and staff to the clinical environment aligned with Trust values and ensure recorded induction.

Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement projects.

Assist with local or Trust initiatives to continuously improve service quality and maintain high standards.
- Be aware of hospital policies and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure compliance.
- Help encourage a supportive work environment and maintain staff morale.
