Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust have a great opportunity for a Trust Speciality Registrar (ST3-8) equivalent to join its very busy Emergency Medicine based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.The post is for an initial Fixed Term Contract of 12 months, with the potential of an extension. This post is available from October 2025The post holder will be required to support the junior Resident team of the Emergency Medicine Hub, therefore, prior NHS A&E experience is preferred for this role.All applicants MUST hold a FULL GMC registration with a Licence to Practice in the UK.We anticipate this to be a popular post, therefore early applications are welcomed and encouraged. Main duties of the job
The post holder will work in all areas of the Emergency Department.
Typical duties may include:
Resuscitation and initial management of emergency cases in a team.
Management of other patients presenting to the ED
Admission of patients to inpatient teams for further management.Being confident in and MUST be able to work independently at Middle Grade LevelSupporting Junior Resident Doctors within the Emergency Department
Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance
Participate in clinical audit across the department in line with Trust policy and guidelines.
Implement audit and research findings across the department.
Comply with the Trust clinical governance processes in a timely manner..We are expanding the number of Resident Doctors within the department and also working towards making a new attractive rota inbuilt with time to pursue any special interests/audit.There are opportunities to be involved in research projects, learn point of care ultrasound skills and to be involved in organising different courses.
