You have the opportunity to join our fantastic and friendly Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT) family as a healthcare support worker - no previous experience needed.

Main duties of the job

You will be joining a team of dedicated professionals who you will learn from on the job, we provide training to ensure you have the skills for the role and offer development opportunities to realise your career potential. You will be enrolled onto a healthcare support worker induction programme held each month, ensuring you feel supported as you take the first steps into your new career.

Our ward operate a 24-hour shift rotation across a 7-day service. Day shifts typically start at 07:00-19:30 depending on the ward, and night shifts are vice versa.

Essential

  • GCSE Grade C English Language or equivalent
  • Secondary education

Desirable

  • Relevant qualifications or trust care certificate

Special circumstances

Essential

  • Ability to work flexibly, across both sites.
  • Willingness to support other areas of the service as the need arises

Experience

Essential

  • 1-2 years' experience of working in a health care setting
  • Experience of teaching both individuals and groups

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working within a Ward/Community setting
  • Previous experience of working in a team

Skills, ability and knowledge

  • Good communication skills both verbally and written to enable liaison with multi-disciplinary team
