Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to come and join the team providing Frailty Same Day Emergency Care at the front door, working along side other Front door AHP and MDT colleagues.

The service runs 7 days a week and involves working a shift pattern which will include weekends and Bank Holidays.

Main duties of the job

To perform assessment and treatment for frail patients with complex needs, and to provide advice, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, carers and relatives and other non-professionals.

To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.

To participate in continuing professional and service development and contribute to organisational objectives.

  • Current registration with Health Professions Council
  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy

Desirable

  • Membership of professional special interest group
  • Field work/Clinical Educator's course

Experience

  • Experience of a junior rotational Physiotherapy post in the NHS
  • Experience of a broad rotational scheme including Acute medicine
  • Knowledge of areas of clinical governance including quality, audit and risk management
  • Experience of managing own caseload and prioritising
  • Experience in supervision of junior staff
  • Ability to work and interact effectively within an inter-disciplinary team and contribute to decision making
