Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 occupational therapist with a keen interest in neurology to join our friendly, dynamic and committed Community Neurorehabilitation Service, Rayners Hedge Aylesbury.
The role is perfect for an existing band 6 or an experienced band 5, with relevant experience, who wish to further develop skills in the specialty of neuro rehabilitation.
You need to be a motivated, confident, autonomous practitioner with high level communication skills, a flexible problem-solving approach, good clinical reasoning skills, and be efficient in your time and people management.
You will support individuals with a range of neurological conditions, work holistically towards patient led goals in maximising their potential.
You will have the opportunity to work as part of a highly experienced multi disciplinary team renowned for their innovative and holistic approach. Main duties of the job
- To provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for adults who have been referred to the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service (CNRS).
- To assess the functional, rehabilitation and vocational needs of patients referred to CNRS . This includes working in a variety of locations within the community.
- To manage a caseload of patients with complex needs in the field of neurological rehabilitation.
- To work as an autonomous practitioner (accessing clinical supervision as required), evidencing high levels of problem solving and clinical reasoning.
