Our Children's Practice Development Nurse works as part of the nursing team to provide support for your orientation and ongoing professional development.Please note that short-listed candidates are able to arrange an informal visit prior to interview on request.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within a team of nursing and medical staff and act as an allocated nurse for a group of patients, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating their care needs. The post holder will be responsible for co-ordinating their allocated workload, reporting to and liaising with senior staff.
The post holder will work within the multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality care in partnership with children and their families whilst working to meet the RCPCH Standards for children and young people in an emergency care setting and short stay area.
Is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care, maintaining a high standard of nursing care within the framework of Trust policies and the NMC code of conduct.
Supports qualified and unqualified staff including pre registration and post registration students.
