Job summary

Maternity services at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are undergoing transformational change in line with the ambitions set out in the Single Delivery Plan and the need to address health inequalities that exist particularly for women and birthing individuals from Black, Asian and deprived backgrounds and high-risk groups.

Our vision is aligned with the national and Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) deliverables, and we are looking for an exceptional midwife to join the team to ensure our maternity services maintain compliance with both external and internal key performance indicators

A key focus of this role will be to ensure the Trust is compliant with the NHSR Maternity Incentive Scheme, CQC requirements, screening KPIs and actions dictated by other national maternity reviews

The post holder is a key member of the Director of Midwifery office, under the line management of the Lead Midwife for Governance and Quality.

Main duties of the job

To support the Director of Midwifery, Head of Midwifery and the Lead Midwife for Governance and Quality with implementation of the Single Delivery Plan, and production of associated quality improvement plans and business cases.

The role will focus on the plans, wider implementation, risk and issue management and ongoing quality assurance processes for actions from national reviews, maternity incentive scheme (MIS), patient safety, governance and other workstreams. The post holder will be required to navigate across the team to ensure all the required stakeholders are feeding into the requirements national reviews as required where there may be independencies and links.

Demonstrate effective stakeholder management across different departments and at all levels and external forums

Contribute to the senior midwifery manager on call rota.
