Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our friendly team in the Cardiac Day Unit / Cath Labs.The unit is expanding and this is an exciting time to join in the development of the existing 6 bedded Cardiac Day Unit and a radial lounge and two Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories, where a wide range of procedures are performed including primary angioplasty.
Main duties of the job
You will be enthusiastic, well motivated and friendly with a genuine interest in cardiac nursing. This position will involve working with the cardiologists, as well as providing high quality care to both NHS and private patients in the Day unit having procedures such as transoesophageal echo and cardioversions
- Acts at all times in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct, and within theprinciples of the scope of Professional Practice and ensures other members of the team also work within these.
- Maintain professional working relationships with all members of the Cardiac Catheterisation Team and effectively contribute to the team's continual development.
- Provide nursing assistance to the cardiologist during procedures and investigations in the cath lab and day unit
