Job summary

This role provides assurance and monitoring of all Facilities Management services, inhouse or contracted, to ensure the correct level of service delivery. The FM Monitoring Officer will provide efficient auditing of the Trust's contracted out and inhouse services, such as cleaning, catering, linen & laundry, postage, pest control, waste management, portering, Hard FM, retail, window cleaning, accommodation, reception, switchboard, Helpdesk, etc. This role requires unsociable hours, including weekend and out of hours working to ensure the 24/7 service delivery is assessed.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for developing and implementing a robust and effective auditing schedule that measures the performance of services against the relevant specifications and quality standards. The post holder must conduct both scheduled and unannounced audits across the agreed locations ensuring compliance against legislative and published guidelines, including, but not limited to; National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021, the Environment protection act 1990, model hospital and HTMs. A FM Monitoring Officer is responsible for producing regular reports on service delivery, reporting compliance and non-compliance against standard, SLA and KPI, and ensure action plans are in place, and that corrective actions are successfully and compliantly completed. The post holder must establish and maintain positive professional relationships and line of communications with different stakeholders at all levels, i.e. Cleaning colleagues, IPCT, patient representatives, nursing colleagues, Matrons, service users, visitors, PFI and contracted service delivery partners, etc.
