Job summary
An exciting opportunity for a Service Manager position has become available within the Integrated Medicine Directorate working at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, ambitious, and talented individual to this post. You will have line management, budgetary and performance responsibilities. You will lead on service improvement projects to raise quality and drive productivity while maintaining operational delivery. Outstanding communication and organisational skills are essential. Experience in working within a healthcare setting will be beneficial. This is a challenging and fast paced operational role but represents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. The role represents an ideal opportunity for the post holder to further their skills and progress their career into a senior management role.
Main duties of the job
- As a Service Manager within the Integrated Medicine Directorate, you will provide operational and strategic support to the Division with a high focus on transforming services, recruitment and support for medical staff, and service developments.
- You will work closely with the General Managers to achieve activity targets against national requirements as well as supporting the delivery of new challenges within the Emergency Floor (AMU,ED,EMRU,SDEC & UTC). You will have involvement in financial performance and service improvement plans across the Directorate and work closely with the clinicians and administration teams to promote high quality patient experience throughout.
- As a highly motivated manager with proven experience, you will need to display strong leadership qualities and have a proven track record of delivering high performance across the areas you have managed.
