Pharmacy@Bucks is an innovative Outpatient Dispensing service that combines the knowledge of a community and a hospital Pharmacy to provide exemplary service to all our patients. Working in close partnership with the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT), we thrive to provide a customer focused clinical service to all patients and Healthcare Professionals alike.
Main duties of the job
We would like to welcome 3 keen Pharmacy/Dispensing Assistant(s) to our ever-growing team with a passion to learn, develop and grow in their role. This unique role offers the chance to be part of a growing team within our outpatient Pharmacies at Stoke Mandeville. This will enable you to develop your career in a fast-paced environment, whilst providing a customer focused and critical service to patients. You will be supported with the right training to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge required for working in a hospital setting.
The chosen candidate will receive in house training, including labelling and dispensing of Outpatient prescriptions, ordering medication and the use of JAC medicine management system.
Students, trainees and other suitable working patterns will be considered. The post holder will be required to work cross sites to provide holiday and sickness cover within our outpatient Pharmacies at Amersham, Stoke Mandeville, and High Wycombe.

Pharmacy@Bucks provides dispensing services from outpatient prescriptions issued by BHT and advice to BHT staff and visitors, with the option to provide OTC medicines in the near future.
Since the start of Pharmacy@Bucks, we have seen the professional development of our keen staff members, ranging from Pharmacy Assistants, Technicians and ACPTs to Pharmacist Managers and Lead Pharmacists.
Qualifications
GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English, Science and Maths
Desired -NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or GPhC accredited equivalent course.
