Job summary

Are you interested in becoming part of a senior nursing team in a Respiratory Ward ? Are you ready for the next step in your career?

We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic, experienced and enthusiastic nurse to join our Respiratory team. We have a full time band 6 deputy sister/charge nurse seconded post available for 1 year.

Main duties of the job

A Junior Sister / Charge nurse is required for the Respiratory Ward. Ward 7 has 19 beds. We provide care for patients requiring specialised respiratory support including Non-invasive ventilation, and patients who have tracheostomies. Patients also may receive high-flow oxygen therapy. The wards are busy and challenging but friendly and will enhance your leadership and management skills.The ideal candidate must be able to communication effectively and and promote team building as the role includes being able to support and develop junior staff.

Experience and knowledge regarding Respiratory medicine is preferable, as is experience with high dependency patients. A flexible approach to this challenging role is required.
