Job summary

Wycombe Adult Community Health (ACHT) is delighted to announce a Referral Administratorposition.

The post is to provide administrative and clerical support to the integrated care teams referral access point. This requires accurate registration of referrals and allocation to locality based teams following clinical triage. Maintenance of confidentiality in respect of all patients and staff information from all sources.

An administrative assistant is required to provide telephone and data system support to the Buckingham Adult Community Healthcare Team based at Chichester House ,High Wycombe

The successful candidate will be computer literate and able to use excel and word. Candidates must have an excellent telephone manner.The team delivers services to patients in their own homes and the administrator acts as first point of contact for service users and referrers to the service. You will enjoy the challenge of working in a busy environment and have the ability to stay calm under pressure.

The team provides a 7 day service and therefore the successful applicant will be required to work occasional weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

  • Order stationary and supplies for team, demonstrating budgetary awareness
  • Where appropriate, receive and record telephone calls from patients, work colleagues and senior staff within the organisation and across other organisations, dealing with calls, enquires and messages in a professional and empathetic manner, relaying messages and taking appropriate action
  • Record patient information electronically and forward as appropriate.Assists with collection of statistical information
  • Access appropriate training to gain skills required for the post
