Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Dietitian to join our friendly Nutrition and Dietetics team at Wycombe Hospital.
The successful post holder will work autonomously providing high quality evidence based, patient centred care on the Stroke and Hyperacute Stroke Units and to the cardiology services at Wycombe Hospital. They will also actively engage with audit, service development and QI projects.
The Dietetic Team at Wycombe Hospital is part of a larger Nutrition and Dietetic Department at BHT, which consists of over 40 members of staff, providing integrated acute and community nutrition and dietetic services across Buckinghamshire.
We actively encourage CPD and engage in regular clinical supervision, and service review and development activities with the wider dietetic department. The department has good secretarial / IT support and takes students for B and C placements. Accommodation on site may be available.
Main duties of the job
- To work as part of the acute dietetic team to provide a high quality, evidence-based service at Wycombe Hospital.
- To be an autonomous practitioner and act as a source of clinical expertise in the areas of stroke / cardiology / nutritional support.
- To provide specialised assessment, treatment and support of patients requiring dietetic treatment.
- To work as part of the MDT for stroke providing high quality evidence based, patient centred care on the Stroke and Hyperacute Stroke Units.
- To provide specialised assessment, treatment and support of patients requiring dietetic treatment in cardiology services.
- To provide support for dietitians, dietetic assistants and student dietitians.
- To provide training to other healthcare professionals and contributing to service development.
