Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Breast Unit Co-ordinator to join the Administration and Clerical team at the Bucks Breast Unit.
We are looking for a confident, well-motivated, reliable and pro-active individual to support and co-ordinate the breast unit administrative team to deliver breast services in line with the NHS breast screening programme requirements, bringing new ideas to improve the Breast services provided to our patients across Buckinghamshire.
Working closely with the breast unit management team, you will have excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of patient focused care and customer expectation and proven experience of managing a team. You will have the ability to deal with sensitive situations and conflict in a diplomatic and tactful manner. The successful candidate will have experience of recruitment, sickness absence management and the ability to coordinate and motivate staff.

In support of the Breast Management team be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the screening round plan, organising mobile breast screening unit moves and to assist the reviewing, planning and agreeing future sites. Develop a knowledge and understanding of the consolidated standards (national standards) for breast screening.
Manage the collection of statistical information on current workload and screening activity, manage the production of the KC62, KC63, FRQA and the annual NHSBSP and BASO audit of screen detected cancers.
Take responsibility for alerting the service to any changes to policy or ICT software which will impact on the delivery of targets, and prepare detailed capacity, demand and activity information where required to assist in predicting the impact of such changes.
Along with the Breast Management team co-ordinating the breast symptomatic workload.
