Job summary

Working with the Maternity team the post holder will be responsible to the Compliance and Assurance Facilitator for the day to day provision and support of the service.

The post holder will help with administrative tasks such as agendas, minutes, requesting medical records, data entry and oversight of the guidelines and leaflets administration.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to provide administrative support within the Maternity Compliance team in an efficient, effective, and high-quality manner. The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of their workload to meet the demands of the team and where appropriate ensuring necessarily follow up action and deadlines are met.

They will be involved in the audit and guidelines processes including requesting and delivering of medical records and the organisation, checking and administration of the guidelines process.

They will support the governance team with data entry into databases such as the perinatal mortality review platform with the support of the lead and bereavement midwives.

Will support the Governance Administrator during annual leave and absences.

  • Medical secretary or equivalent
  • Word processing skills. RSA 3 typing or equivalent
  • Ability to understand and write English language to GCSE level grade C or above, or equivalent

Experience

  • Secretarial experience
  • Experience of working within a busy office
  • Previous experience of working within the NHS
