Job summary
The maternity service at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for a new member of the governance team to have oversight for risk management and patient safety. Working alongside colleagues in neonates and acute paediatrics this post will be an excellent opportunity for a midwife looking to move into a governance role.

Main duties of the job
Maternity services at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are undergoing transformational change in line national guidance and the need to address health inequalities that exist particularly for women and birthing individuals from minority backgrounds and high risk groups.
Our vision is for our maternity services become even safer, kinder, more personalised and family friendly. In order to achieve this, it is vital that we have oversight of risk to ensure care is safe and delivered in a way that is aligned to local, regional and national guidance. This post will be required to work with the wider governance team and patient safety team to ensure that any potential risk is escalated for management by the wider MDT. The post holder will work closely with the governance leads for obstetrics and gynaecology.
