Job summary

There is currently an exciting opportunity to join one of the Health Visiting teams based in Thame Community Hospital, covering Princes Risborough and the surrounding villages.

We support Champions in areas such as - Breastfeeding, Solihull Approach, Domestic Abuse, Perinatal Mental Health and CONI. The Health Visiting service has successfully achieved BFI stage 3 accreditation and we are proud to offer a high standard of breastfeeding support to our families.

You must be a registered SCPHN (Health Visiting) with current NMC registration.
Main duties of the job
- To support achievement of identified public health outcomes through delivery of the Healthy Child program.
- Manage/lead and develop skill mix staff within the team to deliver the Healthy Child Programme in Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS trust.
- To supervise the work of others within the team.
- Where required undertake assessment of family strengths, needs and risks and delegate the responsibility where appropriate to other members of the team.
- Identify families with additional needs and mobilise services as part of the universal plus/partnership plus Healthy Child programme.
- Prioritise workload to meet the requirements of the Health visitor service specification.
- Work in a corporate way within the team ensuring effective and equitable management of workload.
- Work to improve the health and wellbeing of children and reduce inequalities in outcomes as part of an integrated multi-agency approach to supporting and empowering children and families.
