Job summary

Do you want to join our dynamic and supportive Emergency team where no two days are the same, then this is your opportunity!

We are looking for someone who has a foundation degree in nursing or is perhaps a registered Nursing associate to work with us in a busy Emergency Department assisting with patient care. You will be working alongside registered nurses to provide top quality care and maintain patient safety.

Main duties of the job

The Assistant Practitioner will function at a higher competency level than that of other Health Care Support Workers with responsibility for actively participating as part of the multidisciplinary team within the ward / department, to provide a seamless service to patients with proximal supervision from a Registered Nurse / Practitioner.

You will undertake tasks such as venepuncture, wound care and catheterisation as per job description. You will have excellent communication skills liaising with patients, relatives and members of the multidisciplinary team regarding all aspects of care.
