Job summary
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and forward-thinking Targeted Health Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse to join our expanding multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in improving early detection, supporting high-risk individuals, and delivering personalised care to people affected by lung cancer.
You will work at the forefront of targeted lung health interventions, supporting patients through screening pathways, diagnostic investigations, and onward referral. Your expertise will help reduce health inequalities, promote prevention, and ensure that every person receives timely, high-quality, evidence-based care.

Main duties of the job
- Provide specialist nursing expertise across the Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) pathway.
- Undertake holistic assessments, risk evaluations, and personalised support for individuals identified through screening.
- Act as a key point of contact for patients, families, and carers, offering clear information, emotional support, and guidance.
- Work collaboratively with respiratory physicians, radiologists, cancer nurse specialists, and primary care colleagues.
- Support shared decision-making and promote smoking cessation, health improvement, and early intervention.
- Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in MDT meetings and ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold the highest standards of professional practice.
