Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic team leader to join our team in Blyth Theatres. The successful candidate will need to have leadership experience within the Operating Theatres environment.
This is a great opportunity to enhance your leadership skills, be integral in the running of the department and will have the opportunity to support with innovation. If you are interested in gaining some leadership skills and enhancing your knowledge and development then this will be a great role for you.
Blyth theatres specialises in obstetrics and gynaecological surgery. We have 3 theatres 2 are for elective surgery and 1 for emergency surgery.
We are a 24 hour department and the candidate will be expected to cover out of hours shifts.
This post is available to Allied Health Professionals - Operating Department Practitioner and Nurses.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to develop truly patient centered evidence based care through their clinical expertise and knowledge and through demonstrating the leadership skills to deliver and maintain best practice.

- Understand how to develop their team and workplace cultures to ensure the highest standards are maintained at all times.

- Be skilled in managing day to day organisational issues and challenges of both elective lists and emergency surgery.
- Be responsible and organise the effective planning of an elective list.
